Hello - I am looking for advice re the leap reviews in terms of points in the communicating with others and support in the PIP assessment? I believe the 2 points i received in 2017, should have been 4 and remained the same since, which would have meant i should have been in the top criteria for daily living. I have wrote to the PIP DWP about this law change and why i believe that i was scored incorrectly, and to be forwarded for a leap review. They have wrote back to me the dwp not leap, saying that my award does not change and mentioned 2020 but i asked them to look back to 2017 right through to present day for that question criteria.

They then go on to mention a mandatory reconsideration but this is not what i am asking for, i thought a law change was different ?

Can anyone advise on the best way to go about this , as looks like i have just had a general letter from the DWP saying that my award will not change and gives me the sheet with the points i have, which i knew anyway as i have all that.

Anyone in a similar boat and feel the pip people are just trying to get rid of us questioning this.

Bit dubious of a mandatory reconsideration and them taking me off it all together as i have only recently just had my renewal completed and approved

Thanks for reading

Hi Emma

Welcome to the forum.

You might want to have a look at the following FAQ which explains where everything is; www.benefitsandwork.co.uk/guides-for-claimants/faq/forum.

I do not know enough about the leap review, communicating with others. We would advise you to seek specialist help from your local Welfare Rights Organisation; advicelocal.uk
