Hi,

I am completing our first PIP form moving from DLA on behalf of my son, I'm struggling to complete the moving around section, there are times that he struggles with walking due to fatigue (autistic burnout) and breathlessness, not sure if he fits any of the categories of distances, however it impacts him depending on the terrain, if it's a hot day and other factors, thus sometimes limiting where he's willing to go, if we can't get parked near enough.

Any advice?

Many thanks

Sarah

This activity is primarily about the distance he can move (walk) after standing, the test considers the claimant walking outside on the pavement.

However, like all of the PIP activities, it must be done reliably on the majority of days so your answer must take this into consideration., The PIP Claim guide explains these concepts in more detail.
