As you're probably already aware.
Most professionals don't like to write letters but offer to redirect the DWP to their service should they need any extra information.
I haven't asked but I'm sure if the DWP contacts their service, it will all be noted down.
But of course, I'm still the expert in my condition, as I think you've all calmed me down about. So it's just a professional offering their opinion?

I would disagree with your comments, I find that a lot of mental health services will support their clients with supporting documents as they are fully aware of their condition.
The same cannot be said to local GP's, some practices are very good, others may give a one or two line support letter which is not worth the paper it is written on.

Hi Gary,
I did ask the neuropsychology department and they said they don’t write specific letters for specific people. I can direct the DWP to their service and that’s it.
Most IAPT therapists won’t write you a letter because they are trying to get you “better” essentially. Especially the high-intensity ones. Though because I’m autistic, CBT failed on me and my therapist told me to speak to a DEA.
Other than that I have both my ASD/ADHD reports that I could hand in.
I’ve got two strongly worded letters about being accepted into CMHT secondary care, so there’s a weight around how severe my issues are.

I'm sorry to hear about your problems with diagnosis treatment and DWP.
In my experience DWP don't tend to write to doctors any more, so please don't rely on this happening!
If you can't get a letter you are allowed to ask for acopy of your medical records which could include a copy of the report made upon each visit to your consultant. Your GP may have copies of these or you can request direct from the hospital.
If you feel dissatisfied with your level of treatment or even diagnosis you could ask your GP to refer you to other consultant for a second opinion.
You could consider a private referral. Obviously this will cost, unless you have a health care plan. Whether by private or NHS referral you could ask to see a leading specialist, perhaps in London or another city, and you can ask them to review everything. Of private you can then ask to be referred back to the NHS for ongoing treatment.
A second opinion, however achieved may serve to bring some clarity and/or peace of mind.
