Child moving from DLA to PIP was created by Andri
Hello

Very soon my child shall be moving over to PIP as they are turning 16, I did recently receive a letter regarding being an appointee which I feel is very much needed and have sent this back with nothing back yet.

What would be next stage from now as I have only a few weeks until they are 16th. My son was awarded mobility indefinitely under DLA, would I assume this would not be case when moving over.

I will have to familiarise myself with PIP. I assume there would be guides I can use here.

Thank You

Your child will remain on DLA until they are notified that they are being invited to claim PIP, even if they have passed their 16th birthday.

Our PIP guides are on the guides link at the top of the page
