Hi I am in receipt of child tax credit and my husband gets ESA. Will we be asked to migrate on to UC due to tax credits or should we remain on ESA. Very confused as if we have to transfer to UC my husband will be in the realms of the updated rules which after the recent updates to the Autumn Statement doesn’t look ideal as will be 66 in 6 years anyway. If we aren’t migrated until 2028 or 2029 it would be better as my husband is unable to engage with DWP due to his illness and I have mental health problems which means I can’t either. Thank you.
We cannot answer your question as we do not have enough information such as what type of ESA does your husband get.
We would advise you to seek help from your local Welfare Rights Organisation; advicelocal.uk , they will be able to take all your relevant information into consideration.
On the forum we can only give information and not advice as we do not know all the facts.
