I can't believe it! They have awarded my daughter enhanced rate for both. I really cant believe I have dealt with the same company that my friends and other family members have been knocked back and had to go to tribunal.

They have been understanding from start to finish. My daughter has Autism and struggles with communication and anxiety. Her psychiatrist requested that they didn't do a face to face and I didn't think for a moment they would listen to that from past experience.

I rang up after two weeks to see if they got the form ok, and they told me they had done a paper based assessment. Then found out today (8 weeks in total) she got enhanced for both.

I am really in shock. We had requested the assessors report, and according to that she had scored enhanced care but only 4 points on mobility. The assessors report had contradicted it self by saying she couldn't do any journey by herself but only ticked the box for prompting. Clearly the decision maker has picked up on this and amended it.

Thank you to everyone for all the advice and guides. Now got to start the Universal Credit process.

I know members don't believe me when I say this but the majority of assessments are done professionally and the claimant receives the correct award.

Well done, congratulations on the award.

That is great news, I’m sure a lot of people will be very pleased for yourself and daughter. To have extra money when trying to live with disabilities can make so much difference to life.
