AWAITING PIP DECISION was created by dingerdi
Hi, I'm new to the site, and just looking for a bit of advise...I applied for PIP at beg of July (have MS, depression ,anxiety ) and had a home assessment 4 weeks ago. It's a new fist claim. I've not had a decision yet but I did request a copy of my assessment report which was very much in my favour. Does anyone know if the DM goes with HP report or not? Thanks in advance for any advice.

In the vast majority of claims, the DM will follow the recommendation of the assessor. Decisions are currently taking 7-8 weeks from the assessment.

Thanks for your response, and I did wonder about timescales of a decision just now as i know a few people in my area who have had a decision back in 2 weeks! So i was a little worried why i havent heard back yet. I'll assume its not particularly a bad sign then? thanks

Hi Dianne,
The length of wait for a decision has no relation to what the eventual decision is.

hi again, im looking for some advice on esa aswell . I applied for this some 13 weeks ago and have heard nothing, but what I'm worried about is that my sick note runs out today . My gp has issued me with another 3 month one but esa have not contacted me to say my previous one has run out. Should I contact them? I'm not sure what to do, any advice? thanks
