PIP2 form deadline plus time for postage

I was told by the DWP that they give time for postage. My PIP2 form deadline is the 7th Dec but they have to receive it by on the 14th with the added postage time. I only found out after the 3rd phone call about an extension when I was then told about this.
Anyone else heard of that?
Maybe something to ask about when it comes to deadlines.

I have just posted this on another members question about the deadline for the PIP but thought it might be relevant to other members.
I have called them about another extension on top of the 2weeks I already have and the officer told me that they give time for postage. My dealine is the 7th of Dec but they would have to have the form by the 14th.
Anyone else heard about this? I do not want to miss my deadline.

No I haven't !

With deadline dates, the documentation has to arrive back at the return address by close of business on the deadline day.

They do not even make allowances for reduced postal services due to Bank Holidays.

Unless you have been allowed an extension, a deadline date is what it says, a deadline date !!!

If the deadline day is none working day, such as a Sunday, it is generally close of business on the following day, Monday.

It is up to the claimant to take all reasonable steps to ensure that they comply with documentation deadline dates, i.e.by posting it back in good time !

Sending Documents to the DWP, ATOS, Capita or Maximus.
