Put in WRAG without having assessment

Have received letter (4 months after returning esa50 form ) informing I have been put in work related activity group And I must take part in work focused interviews. Also says I may be required to attend work focused health related assessment.
I have had no phone call or assessment from the DWP since submitting esa50.
I was led to believe the decision would be made AFTER assessment?
Has this happened to anybody else.

It sounds as if a decision has been made on your claim from the paper evidence, without you needing to attend a face2face assessment. This happens when the claimant has provided enough evidence for the HealthCare Professional to make a recommendation.

Are you happy with the WRAG award or do you believe you meet any of the Support Group descriptors?

Qualifying for the Support Group

You now have 1 month to ask for a Mandatory Reconsideration if you believe you meet a Support Group descriptor. If this did not go in your favour, you would then be able to submit a formal appeal. You can request a copy of the paperwork associated with your claim but, if you want to ask for a MR you should not wait for tis paperwork to arrive.
