NHS letters submitted with PIP was created by mommaduck
I have got some recent letters from both my consultant and specialist nurse. Both recent but dated prior to PIP invite.
They are written in bullet format with my current problems, onward referrals etc, and recommendations to my GP for different drugs etc.
In both the letters there are a couple of things not related to my health/disabilities, they are private issues I discussed, and refer to another person.
If I blanked them out (both one liners), would this be acceptable?
One of my daughters say they may make the assessor curious or suspicious, but I am not willing to submit letters that contain private and irrelevant information.

Hi momma
This is a difficult one. If I received the letters then I would be naturally curious/suspicious to see lines blanked out but as you say it is private, non relevant info.
Could you just blank out the name and add a note saying it was a personal matter about a third party who you cannot disclose for data protection reasons?
Otherwise could you send it in blanked out but take the letter to the face to face and show them it is not relevant but you didn't want it recorded on a database in hard copy to protect the third party?
The third suggestion is to ask your GP if they can verify the lines blanked out are not relevant to you or your medical history but refer to a seperate matter?

Years ago, the DLA and IB, IIB only required the sections from GP/Consultant letters that were relevant.
We were told to cut n paste bits from the various Consultants/GP's onto a separate paper which I did and now over the yrs have only got those bits left.
All my paperwork in its entirety along with scans/mri's etc have all been ditched, moreover it was done so because I was on Life awards for IIB/IB/DLA and therefore did not realise I would ever need them again.
I expect there were many such as myself in this position.
However silly me I should never have believed the DWP and what was was to be for life!!!
My ESA I sent only the bits I had left along with any updated paperwork.
It was accepted and they took the bits as read.
So in a long wided way I am trying to say they may well be happy with your lined out bits or cut n paste.
