Hi, I am so worried about my PIP assessment after reading stories on here about lots of people who have been unsuccessful.
I am going to take a list of all my medications with me to the assessment, as due to my severe anxiety I will not remember them all on the day. Do I need to take the boxes of medications with me as proof? These assessors seem to want to try and catch people out, which is really upsetting for genuine people who have multiple illnesses to deal with.
Also due to my high anxiety I was wondering if I could phone and ask them who will be my assessor? as I would feel slightly better with a lady I think.
I had to phone them last week, as the first venue they were going to send me to had over 16 steps, which with my cerebral palsy I would find really difficult. They have changed the venue to somewhere with easier access and said they have noted it on the system. I hope that doesnt go against me.
Hi You should have listed all your medications on the form. If you want to take proof perhaps you have a repeat form you could take?
The chnge of venue is a positive one for you. If you had not changed the venue it may have gone against you for struggling up the steps. People are posting on here about being sent to venues further away than their nearest one or without access for wheelchairs etc.
