Disability Premium for Housing Benefit was created by Sheila
It looks as though I will receive standard care on PIP does this entitle me to a premium for Housing Benefit. I live with my cousin who is also disabled.

If you have a PIP Daily Living award AND your cousin has one as well or DLA MRC or HRC or AA AND no one claims Carers Allowance for you then you should have the Severe Disability Premium added on to your applicable amount.

My cousin just gets DLA mobility at the highest rate does this count?

Hi S,
I am afraid not !
For you to be "classed as living alone", your Cousin would have to be receipt of Middle or Higher rate DLA Care Component, or PIP Daily Living, or Attendance Allowance, as advised by Gordon.
