DLA random selection to PIP was created by John Raymond
Hi All,
Thought it might be useful if we could attempt to establish any emerging patterns (if any exist) of those indefinite DLA claimants who have been already "randomly selected" to apply for PIP since the DWP made the process nationwide .
It might be usefu if members who have been randomly selected pool information on when they first received indefinite DLA, their age as from April 2013 and prior to April 2013,and at what levels of DLA they receive for one or both categories ie daily living, and mobility.
Additionally an indication of the members area within the country is useful too,as different areas have different levels of success /failure in obtaining PIP.
Finally what success or otherwise have members had who have already been reassessed from indefinite DLA to PIP.
The more ongoing data /feedback we have the better prepared members might be, the pace/ progress of reasssement can be studied, and conclusions drawn as to whether the" random "selection process is indeed random or follows a pattern.
Moreover ,it might become clear as to whether the DWP are properly and fairly assessing the 2000 applications per day the they claim they will.
Forewarned is forearned, and the survey ought to benefit all members who currently await random selection.
I look forward to members' feedback
Good luck and many thanks JR

I have allowed your post on the understanding that it is just to collect information from other members as to when they are invited to claim PIP, if it develops into a discussion as all of your previous topics have, then it will be locked.

Thankyou Gordon,
Well I am sorry if I have initiated discussions, but my understanding, unless I am very wrong is that this is a discussion forum isn't it?
Members exchange views, experiences ,outcomes, concerns and a host of other issues.
My latest initiative is as always motivated by a desire to help as many members as possible currently awaiting reassessment who will be understandably apprehensive and worried that they may well be facing possibly a substantial cut in their income at any time.
Can I suggest that the feedback from members on their Indefinite DLA to PIP reassess etc could be somehow pooled, analysed and then any conclusions, published in the monthly bulletin.
It all hinges of course on whether members are prepared to reveal their experiences and if we have suffIclient data to draw up any meaningful conclusions.
Anyway Gordon thanks again,
Best Wishes,
JR

But that is exactly the point that we have tried to make to you many times before, this is NOT a discussion forum!
If you want someone to analyse the information your topic might collect, then that is something that you need to raise with the B&W office, it is not a matter that the Mods can assist with.
I would not get your hopes up though, it is unlikely that the information you might collect here will be statistically significant.

Dear Gordon,
OK just trying to help other members.
Maybe God will offer the kind of help many indefinite claments will need in the near future
Thank you so much

Hi JR,
To collate the kind of information that you are after from members to indicate any form of meaningful "pattern" (if indeed there is any "pattern" to be found) to "who" is being invited to claim PIP from DLA would mean that many, many, many members would have to post a lot of their personal details such as age, location, etc, etc, etc on the forum.
After nearly 5 years of being a Mod, I don't think that enough of them would be willing or able to do that.
As we have informed you, this is not a discussion forum, hence most members who post, only do so when they have queries.
As you can see thus far, only one member has given you some type of feedback.
To prove my point, : This Topic which has been running for over 6 months, where Steve asks members to respond to a simple query which doesn't require any of their personal information, only has around 45 responses, even though it has a permanent link at the bottom of our : "MEMBERS PLEASE READ !!!" topic which is put at the top of the forum at the end of every session.
As advised by Gordon, it you want to put forward your idea of some type of survey, you should do so to Steve, the site owner, via : This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
