DLA transfer to PIP today's newsletter was created by cossack
Hi, just have a quick question re the DWP's ability to now ask people on lifetime DLA awards to claim for PIP, regardless of where they live in the UK after postcode area roll outs. In the B and W newsletter today, it states that people will be 'chosen at random'. Does that mean if you're not chosen you'll be transferred over automatically? If so, do we just wait to receive written confirmation re our fate ? Any information given, if you know (?) would be much appreciated. Thanks

Hi Cossack,
The order in which claimants are invited to apply for PIP will be random. Everyone who was under 65 on 8th April 2013 will have to apply for PIP and fill out the assessment forms, no-one will be automatically transferred without going through this process.

Thanks, but oh the irony ! Straight after posting B and W, husband brings in the post and there's a letter from DWP inviting me to claim PIP. Phoned this pm - let the battle commence !!
