Waiting ages for Tribunal was created by Andrew
Hi there, my claim for PIP was in March 2015. I had an assessment and was refused, I then failed the mandatory reconsideration and I am now waiting for a Tribunal. Welfare rights have said that they are very happy to represent me at the hearing. I found out a few days ago from the Court that the DWP haven't even sent the papers over to the Tribunal and my MP has even contacted them and hasn't received a call, When I spoke to the court, they told me that the DWP have exceeded the time limit to get the papers to them.
It is becoming extremely frustrating and my MP refers to it as scandalous. Is there anything I can do to put some pressure on the DWP to get their act together and get the process moving in the right direction.
Thanks

I've approved your post this evening but it was out of our normal hours which is why it did not show in the forum, all posts have to be approved by a Moderator and we are only online between 2pm to 3:30pm and 8pm to 9:30pm, Monday to Friday.
To answer your question, no! there is nothing you can do to hasten the DWP's submission, the normal procedure is that the Tribunal Service will write to the DWP, you will receive a copy of this, giving them a further 28 days to make there submission, if they still fail to do so, then the Judge may give them more time or they may schedule a hearing without the DWP's papers.
You should prepare your submission as you can now and not wait for the DWP to respond, all of the important documents that their submission will include can be requested by you from the office that dealt with your claim.
