esa assesment was created by lynsey McIver
Hi just had my ESA assessment and nurse would only talk about my mobility she just kept saying its all she needs, she wouldn't note down any of my other problems, I am worried as I thought you needed to score high points for support group. Assessment was 30 mins didn't even carry out physical. I am worried as I haven't been diagnosed with anything yet, waiting to see several specialist.

Hi lj,
At least it is over now, you could ring ESA for an update in 7-14 days if you haven't heard :
THE ESA PHONE NUMBER DWP : 0345 608 8545 Press Option 3 for ESA. (Open 8AM-6PM. Mon-Fri.)
By the way, qualifying for The Support Group (SG) is not points based, that is for entry to The WRAG.
For entry to The SG, you must fulfil any one of : The Functional SG (LCWRA)Schedule 3 Descriptors
Or under : ESA Reg 35 for entry to The SG (LCWRA)
If you are to qualify for The SG under Mobilising, you would have to qualify under Activity 1. :
"1. Mobilising unaided by another person with or without a walking stick, manual wheelchair or other aid if such aid is normally or could reasonably be worn or used."
By fulfilling Descriptor/s 1 (a) and/or 1 (b) :
"1 Cannot either:
(a) mobilise more than 50 metres on level ground without stopping in order to avoid significant discomfort or exhaustion; or
(b) repeatedly mobilise 50 metres within a reasonable timescale because of significant discomfort or exhaustion."
Fingers crossed for a positive decision !!
Please keep us updated.
