ESA or JSA was created by Dave boy
Hello everyone
I have just started a claim for ESA and am finding the hoops that you have to jump through confusing. At the moment I am still employed but have run out of SSP so I am claiming ESA but if I get sent for a medical and fail that how can I go for JSA if I am still employed, I do hope to get back to my work but not sure when. From what I am reading here this whole system is mad !!!!!
Thanks

Welcome to the forum, you might want to have a look at the following FAQ which explain where everything is
Welcome to Benefits and Work
In regard your ESA claim, have a look at our ESA Claim guides and our Understanding ESA guide on the following link
www.benefitsandwork.co.uk/help-for-claimants/esa1
As to JSA, as far as I am aware you cannot claim JSA if you are still employed, you will need to discuss your options with your employer should you be found Fit for Work, but I would recommend that you get face to face advice first.
If you have further questions then please reply to this post and we will do our best to help.
