Telephone PIP1 experience appeared to deviate from was created by Doris
We studied the PIP1 guide prior to making the inital telephone application, taking note that anexity may allow extra time for the return of the PIP2 paper form. However, we were only asked if there was history of 'severe depression that had led to hospitalisation', any mention of anxeity was ignored.
Have the DWP changed the PIP1 process or form ?

We're not aware of any changes, however, it is a script that the DWP staff run through so it may have differences depending on some of the answers given.
The PIP1 form is to check basic entitlement;
- are you entitled to claim benefits e.g. legally resident in the UK
- do you meet the 3 months past and 9 months forward tests
- is it a special circumstances claim.
and finally based non the answer like you have raised in your post, are you likely to need an extension to the standard four weeks.

When I asked the person undertaking the telephone interview if anexity would allow extra time, they reiterated that only 'severe depression leading to an hospital stay ' would be considered in that situation.
I've since been made aware that other claimants had been asked about anexity, and given an extra 2 weeks in which to return the PIP2.
It might be worth other members being aware the script could deviate in case they were seeking extra time. For my partner, its no longer going to be an issue.
