Has anybody else asked for a home visit and been refused as they are not classed as homebound and only those who aren't able to leave home are eligible. It doesn't matter if this would make you so ill and in so much pain that you have to go to bed for several days afterwards. Atos are inhuman they are inflexible and refuse to listen to people you're just a number that they want through the system as quick as possible.

Yes, many of our members have challenged, ATOS, Capita and Maximus regarding obtaining a Home Assessment with varying levels of success.

ATOS do seem to be the more belligerent of the three.

After : Contacting ATOS/PIP , they generally insist that you first obtain a letter from your G.P. supporting the fact that you need a Home Assessment giving reasons.

Even then it can be a "battle" !!

They are wrong stating that you need to be "homebound", they are supposed to make Reasonable Adjustments to all claimants who have Mobility restrictions/ limitations or problems going out due to mental health issues.

Whether it be ATOS or Capita for PIP or Maximus for ESA, the same applies.
