Small query about Income Support

At a compliance interview yesterday my mum/carer agreed to come off Income Support (she has to pay back the overpayment, they were very helpful and friendly, they'll let her know the amount in a couple of weeks), however after checking her bank account today, they've sent another payment of IS.
Does it take a couple of weeks to stop payments?
Thanks.
Paul.

I believe that IS is paid two weekly in arrears, also the compliance officer only collects the information it will be a Decision Maker who will decide on further action.
Are they cancelling the claim or does your mother need to?

No mention of a decision maker, it was resolved on the day he said he was cancelling it today at the interview so its likely arrears, he said that she should recieved confirmation in a couple of weeks with the amount owed and just to pay it back whenever.

I'm afraid the DWP do not operate a "when ever" policy for over payments.
