WRAG to support group was created by lanaloren
Hello, I'm currently in the work related activity group and it is some months yet until I am due to have another assessment, however I am being put under increasing pressure by my work programme provider with what they are asking me to do and the stress and strain of it all is really getting to me and making my mental health problems worse. Is it possible I can apply to get into the support group now or would I have to wait until Im asked to have another assessment? Could someone please advise me on this, thankyou.

I would not rely on your being assessed on time as there are still considerable delays in the ESA system at the moment.

To be placed in the Support Group you will need to meet one or more of the SG Descriptors. You can ask to be re-assessed early if you can show that there has been a documented deterioration on you condition, or that you have a new condition that would qualify you for the SG, all you have to do is write to the DWP explaining this. You will likely receive a new ESA50 to complete and I would expect you to have a new face to face.

I'm afraid asking to be re-assessed will not relieve you of having to comply with WRAG activities until and unless you are placed in the SG, which could be some considerable time

Have a look at the ESA Claim guides for details of the SG criteria you will need to meet.
