My question regards this is this, I provided a letter from my consultant who states I require hip replacement on my left hip, shortly followed replacement of my left hip due to advanced bi lateral osteoarthritis, do you therefore think that I will be awarded PIP without the face to face assessment?

Hi t64,

As with all "Guidance" it is just that "Guidance" !

In other words, it is entirely at the PIP Assessment Provider's Discretion on whether a face to face should take place or not.

These are examples of conditions where the Assessment Provider may want to consider making a paper based assessment where they have enough written evidence to do so.
