I have today, been advised that when the DWP ring re transfer from DLP to PIP and they ask if I would like my life time award to be taken into account when assessing me for PIP, I should answer NO. Has anyone else heard about this

Hi Bandy and Welcome to Benefits and Work
I believe the PIP form asks if you want DWP to take into account information they already hold on you. However, we always advise the claimant to provide all details in full rather than relying on DWP to look at their old records.

I was asked the question when I sent in a c of c and had to apply for pip as I was in a pip area, I answered yes because I thought it would help, I had a f2f assessment and was awarded standard care and enhanced mobility. I felt my assessment was just making sure which I qualified for, in care, the mobility was never mentioned. I felt they had it right.
They also used some info from my esa assessment I had too.

Regarding 'some info from my esa assessment I had too', was this just the ESA85A/ESA85 report that is compiled by ATOS/Maximus when advising DWP? Or does this include all evidence enclosed with ESA Application?
Ask the above for reason that as far as my ESA report concerned, and understanding that assessor not required to read through full ESA App (ESA50 and additional evidence), to arrive at decision, this would to a degree leave me without 'sufficient ammunition'.
Reading my ESA report compiled by assessor, although placing me in SG, it is clear they did not have to read through all information submitted, and therefore only makes mention of 1 of my physical problems and how this affects my mobility (the problem which was used to place me in SG, in my opinion isn't even main physical problem I have severely restricting my mobility!).
I will be enclosing ESA report within any PIP application in any event.

There is no requirement for either the assessor or Decision Maker to look at information from another benefit when looking at someone's PIP claim, if they do then they can look at anything they believe is relevant.
The assessor and the DM are required to read everything that is submitted in relation to a claim for ESA or PIP, showing that this has not happened would certainly be of assistance in any appeal.
You only have to meet one of the SG Descriptors to be placed in the group, once a claimant has met the criteria there is no obligation on the Decision Maker to check whether any other Descriptors are met.
