frequent cancellation of pip interview

hi first time on forum - husband has been waiting for interview process for pips this h as been cancelled 3 times by them , he even turned up for one only to be told it had been cancelled because someone was sick! 3 new appointments later they cancelled now i understand if it was cancelled from our end that the claim becomes nil and void so how are they getting away from it. hubbie isnt the most patient of people and said that he wants to forget the claim although i have said that this is probably why they are doing it ..... can someone advise if they can do this or have we got the right to challenge this annoying situation?

I am afraid that ATOS/Capita can and do cancel PIP consultations as described by you.

It is common practice to double book appointments to ensure that they have a constant flow of claimants to assess.

As you say, if you "give up", they win !!!

You should contact your M.P. and complain, especially since the Government have been stating that The PIP Assessment process is now being carried out much quicker :

You are correct in that if a PIP claimants fails to comply with a PIP face to face assessment twice without "Good Cause" their PIP claim is disqualified.
