Had a call today from my gp asking if I could go in for a twenty min appointment.. I asked why and they said they had some insurance forms to fill in.. I don't have insurance and asked to clarify who it was from.. They stated its pip dwp... I then called pip who haven no record of any letters or forms being sent to my gp.. Anyone else had this as I'm confused where it's come from!

When you last posted, about three months ago, you were waiting for an assessment from Capita, has this happened yet?

If not then I would expect the letter to be from Capita who would be seeking further information from your GP. If your claim is still with Capita then the DWP would be unaware of any information that was being requested.

i received my award letter in April so I assume capita would of concluded their reports..? I have been awarded till March 2017 so the lady at pip said it wouldn't of been a review form.. This gets more and more confusing!

Hi L,

You can either ring your G.P. practice once more to push the issue, or wait and see what it is about when you see the G.P.

Please keep us updated.

If you go to this appointment get a hard copy of these forms and read it all first yourself, don't rely on the gp to just read it of a pc screen to you.
They might hesitate to give a copy but remember it is on your medical records you are entitled, or perhaps you have very nice forthcoming gp's.

I have found more and more that a fair few in the medical profession are doing reports for the DWP in their favor, questions on lifestyle that have no connection or relevance to a medical condition, and will down the line possibly harm a persons benefit claim, don't forget this gov want to tax non means tested benefits and get the sick/disabled onto welfare cards/vouchers eventually.
Only last month i challenged one consultant in front of his team about this, i told him these lifestyle questions have no bearing and to deal with the medical points, from now on i will be saying no comment!! i asked him was he doing reports for the dwp and private insurance companies contracted to the NHS subsidized by us tax payers he went red faced. i also asked him where his loyalties lay and reminded him of his Hippocratic oath! since he has two private consulting positions at spire healthcare as well as his NHS one after tax his yearly take home pay is about one and a half million therefore he should be supporting not damaging patients under his care.
His report on me is neither here nor there, couldn't be used as supporting evidence. hey i feel a whole new topic coming on here!!

So Lawrence please let us know the outcome.
