ESA DWP Payment Dates was created by cats6
After wining ESA, being transferred onto ESA from IS, SDA etc.
How are the payment dates worked out to start the new benefit (ESA)
Example : ESA award 11th May, ESA will be paid from 20th June, but 1st payment of ESA in reality is Made 3rd July.
How on earth are these calculations made ???

Hi c6,
ESA payments are made fortnightly in arrears.
You "Payday" will depend on the last two digits of your NI Number :
Benefit payment dates
The may of course be situations where "par-weeks" will be paid depending on the active start date of your ESA payments.

Hi, I worked it out..with your help of course.
New payments dates are the active start date from the ESA50 form date.
Oh but What a con !!!
Win the ESA claim a whole month and some before the active start date.
get given a poxy 12 month prognosis, which in turn triggers a renewal assessment of ESA 3 months early, which could be lost, resulting in this new ESA claim not being paid for the complete 12 months.
Because this new ESA claim was a migratory transfer from IS/SDA
if i were to lose on the 1st round of the ESA renewal would i still be paid during a mandatory decision and or appeal? or are all monies stopped then back dated if and when ESA is won back.

If you were found Fit for Work the you would not receive any ESA payment during the MR stage, just the appeal. You can claim JSA during the MR stage if you wish. When an appeal is lodged you can claim the ESA Assessment rate from the day after you were found Fit and will receive back payments from this date are deductions of any JSA you received.
If you are moved from the SG to the WRAG then you will receive the WRAG rate during any MR and appeal.
