Dla to Pip was created by gennyop
Hello

My situation is :- Copd /emphysema - currently receiving contributory Esa and Dla ( standard rate care / enhanced mobility ) indefinite award - age 64 dob 08/02/1951

I understand that in my area ( canterbury CT1 ) that I might be invited for Pip around October 2015
I am concerned that any delay to this may push the conversion process past my 65th birthday.
Would I then be moved to Attendance allowance ? - then I would loose my motorbility car !
Should I apply early ?

Any advise would help

Jim

Hi gp,

As advised in my response to your other recent query : HERE. your Postcode is only relevant if you were to report a C of C to DLA.

As you were under 65 on 08/04/13 and have Indefinite DLA Awards, your Postcode is not relevant.

You (and all other DLA recipients with Indefinite Awards) will be chosen at random to claim PIP sometime after October 2015 running until October 2017.

It doesn't matter that you may be over 65 when you are invited, you will be reassessed under PIP criteria, and you "can" still qualify for The Mobility and/or The Daily Living components of PIP.
