PIP 2nd time around was created by Rubyred
Just to let those know who are at the same place as me regarding PIP.
I was first awarded PIP last March for 2 years, until 2016.
In March of this year I received a claim form to claim again, today I received an appointment for this Saturday 6th June at 10.30am in South East London which is only 35 miles but it is the centre of London. The train journey isnt the problem its the walks in the underground I have the problem with.
I called Atos today to ask for a change in venue and was told that was the next available and I know they only allow 1 change but this is rescheduling. Anyway I was told they dont have any more appointments released yet and to call back Thursday or Friday.
If my PIP is not allowed again it means that I was only allowed it for 15 months, its all a bit odd! Apparently Atos only allow 1 change of appointment and Capita allow 2 when you have to take the 3rd on offer. Has anyone else reached this stage?

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

As far as we are aware both Assessment Providers only allow one change of appointment to be done by the claimant.
To be clear, your re-scheduling your existing appointment to a venue closer to you will count as that one change and you will have to attend any new appointment, wherever and whenever it is scheduled.

I called to change the venue and was offered different place nearer home and given options for day and time, couldn't have been more helpful.
