Notification Of Face To Face was created by Maddymoo
The legion helped me complete a Esa 50 two weeks ago and I have today received the date of my F2F which is on Tuesday next week in a fitness studio.

I am currently in receipt of DLA at the highest rate for both care and mobility and also in receipt of War pension of 75%.

My mental health is not good, as I suffer from complex PTSD after repeated exposure to numerous events whilst serving 20 years in the Army, which led to my medical discharge.

I am socially isolated and can not leave the house without my wife, I am prone to flash backs, uncontrolled aggression, suicidal thoughts and acts and a whole host of other symptoms which I will not bore you with.

I have multi level disc degeneration from the base of my spine to the very last one in my neck with nerve impingement so. This makes my arms and hands numb and also causes them to jump around like a puppet.

I came out of hospital last week after having total knee replacement and as a result of my tolerance to morphine had to be given ketamine to help with pain. I also require my other knee done as a matter of urgency and my right ankle has had two failed reconstructions.

in addition I am partially sighted after losing an eye, there are many more ailments that I could mention but the above will suffice.

The legion requested that I be assessed at home as a result of my PTSD but this seems to have been ignored even though I am labelled PV potentially violent.

I am at my wits end what to do, I do not trust the assessors at all, as I have been the victim of Atos before and it is the same plonkers who are going to try to asses me again.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I am afraid that you will need a doctor to write a letter stating that you cannot attend at an assessment centre, current procedure is that they will not accept a claimants statement that they cannot attend without this.

The decision to allow a home assessment is at the discretion of the Assessment Provider, if they still fail to allow one then you can contact your MP.

Thanks for the advice, it would be near on impossible to get a doctors appointment in that time. I will just have to try and do it.

You could ask to speak to your GP on the phone, most surgeries have time allocated for this.
