Hi.
I have just received a letter from the DWP PiP 0202 dated 30/04/2015. Its states that if I start my claim for Personal Independence Payment by 28 May 2015 my DLA will continue until they make a
decision on PIP. It also states that if I don't start my claim for PIP by 28/04/2015 my payments will be stopped temporarily.
It tells me how to start my claim. Is this correct. My DLA ends at the beginning 10/2015.

From what you have posted you have been invited to claim PIP.
If you start a claim and return the forms by the dates required then your DLA will remain in payment until four weeks after a Decision is made on your PIP claim, even if this is after your current DLA award ends.
If you do not initiate a claim by the date included in the letter then your DLA will be suspended from that date, if you do not initiate within a further four weeks of that date then your DLA claim will be closed with limited right of appeal.
Have a look at our PIP Claim guide for details of the process and the criteria under which an award for PIP is made.

Hi
I have just made the call to initiate the start of my claim for pip. (pip 0202)
I had the specimen sample in front of me. On page 17 it stated If you think you’ll need any help or support to fill in the form.
I told him I would and I give him my carer's details.
He than asked me if I had any mental health conditions.
To which I replied "yes depression and anxiety".
He then asked if I had been hospitalized due to these conditions "I replied no".
He replied they do not count then.
I questioned him about this and he replied I can give more details when I fill in the next form they send me.
He also failed to ask the question do you see a psychiatrist or community psychiatric nurse (CPN), psychologist or counsellor about your condition? I do see 2 out of 4.
This means he has ticked NO to both questions on page 17. What can I do.
Can you please confirm that the pip 0202 does not have to be sent back to me to sign.

Wait and see how quickly you receive the PIP2 form and the return date, if you feel that you will struggle to meet this date then you can contact the DWP again for an extension.
No, you do not need to return the PIP0202 letter.
