PIP visit to Home was created by Suzie
Hello Everyone
Please could somebody kindly update and/or advise regarding being informed that a PIP representative is to visit our home in respect of our claim (from DLA) to PIP, as the young person has Autism and cannot cope with a Face to Face Consultation. Would really appreciate it if somebody could share what maybe expected, in order for me to try and be able to prepare the young person in question (age 17). Very many thanks.

It sounds as if the Assessment Provide (AP) has arranged a home assessment, you can read about the assessment process in the PIP Claim guide, there is a section towards the back that cover what they are likely to be asked. See

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Dear Gordon
Thank you very much indeed for kindly taking the time to respond to my first enquiry relating to PIP via the wonderfully helpful Benefit and Works Forum. Thank you also for your much welcomed advice regarding where I will find what maybe expected regarding the forthcoming Home PIP Assessment, as your help and response is very much appreciated indeed.
Kind regards Suzie
