Hi there, I have recently been placed the work program and have so far been too ill to attend the interviews. I have consulted my doctor & he has issued me a 6 month sicknote to send to Ingeus who are conducting the interviews. I was hoping this will keep them off my back until my appeal. Has anyone been in a similar situation, and what was the outcome ? Any advice is appreciated.
Many thanks,

It is very unlikely that a Fit Note will be of assistance in removing any requirement for you to participate in any activity mandated by your Work Programme Provider.

A Fit Note indicates that you have Limited Capability for Work, this is already assumed by the DWP and the Provider as a result of your being in the WRAG where you cannot be asked to work or even seek work, however, you ARE required to perform Work Related Activity and risk your benefit being sanctioned should you fail to do so.

Speak to your advisor about the problems that you are having with attending, they may be willing to defer any requirement until you know what is happening with your MR and appeal.
