Hi,

if a couple have a couple claim in for IR ESA, unassessed, and they are both unable to work, how does the second partner get assessed and if successful paid group component? Or do they?

Thanks,

Jane.

If you are both only eligible for Income Related ESA, then you can only make a single claim as a couple, one of you makes the claim and will be assessed and the other is considered part of the claim but is not assessed.
