PIP renewal due was created by NanLMH
Hi, I was awarded mobility allowance about 20 years ago for life, and was awarded minimum DLA allowance about 5 years ago, again for life. I am 67 in July, so assume now that I will have to now apply for PIP due to the fact that I was 3 months away from not claiming at all. I live in the Hampshire area, and looking at your chart I will be contacted within the next 3 months. Would you have any idea if I am likely to get a phone call out of the blue, or the dreaded form to complete to follow with the interview? Any advice would be greatly appreciated, as this waiting is not helping my nerves. Thank you.

As your current DLA awards are indefinite, there is no longer a life award, you will be transferred to PIP at some time after October of this year, claimants will be chosen at random and the project will take many years to complete so it could be some time before you are actually invited to claim PIP.

The postcode map you are referring to only applies to DLA claimants with a fixed term award or where a Change of Circumstances is reported.

If you have a look at our PIP Claim guide, the transfer process is explained in the first few sections.
