May I ask the Mod’s please, with regard to IDS and his brutal campaign. If he takes away Contribution based ESA (& the same for JSA), effectively means-testing it, can he legally take it away from those already in receipt of it or, would it apply to new claimants only?
I know in the past I’ve worked myself up into a real frenzy of fear when, in fact, the particular issue was for new claimants only!
I appreciate that at this stage of the election, no one is in a position to categorically give info/advice, however, would appreciate your thoughts.

I wouldn't start worrying yet P,
These changes are only proposals at this time, and there are no details regarding how they would be implemented, if they were implemented at all.
IDS and The Tories have the small matter of an election to win before they can even think of implementing anything.
Even then, they would have to get any changes in legislation through Parliament.
