I have received a copy of my assessment this morning, and I am shocked at what I'm reading. I thought they had sent me someone else's ! It reads like I was given a thorough medical which it was anything but. It seems that the doctor filled in most of the blank spaces on his computer without asking or examining me . Do I argue these points at the mandatory reconsideration stage or in the likelihood it goes to appeal or wait until the appeal ? I have already stated in my letter for mandatory reconsideration of my worsening ability to stand & walk for any length or period,& sent a copy of my doctor's letter & podiatrist' s examination to them.
If you can show that the opinions stated in the assessors report are incorrect with the support of relevant evidence then there is every reason for you to do it now rather than leaving it for an appeal, your goal is to get a satisfactory award at the earliest opportunity.
