ESA Appeal was created by philippa williams
I had my ESA Appeal on 19/3/2015 but the judge adjourned it as they wanted my medical assessment from my pip claim, because it shows I am receiving enhanced mobility component from 2013 but I only had my ESA assessment October 2014 a whole year from me first claiming ESA, and then they said I could work as I only got 6points for the mobility part . and Atos doc said I could walk 200 meters, I am hoping this is good for my appeal to get in the ESA support group . Does any one else have any ideas ?

Your PIP report may be of assistance to your ESA appeal, but you need to be aware that it will only address part of the test. PIP is a walking test, however, ESA looks at your Mobility which includes your ability to self-propel a manual wheelchair over the same distances. You do not need to use or even own a wheelchair for the test to be applied as long as the usage is considered to be reasonable.

So you will need to show that this usage would not be reasonable, this may be dues to physical problems that would limit or prevent you using one, it may be due to medical advice not to use one or it may be due to the practicality of your using one.

Have a look at the ESA Claim guides for more information.
