Length of ESA award and etc.

As a ps to my message a short while ago regarding receiving my requested ESA85A decision letter this morning, my reassessment date stated in that report which was written almost 2 years ago (my award was for 2 years), is 21st August 2015. This is what is stated in the report and I understand may or may not alter because of the backlog that has formed. If reassessment goes ahead as stated, how long before this date in August should I expect to receive a new ESA50 form. What puzzles me a little thinking back is that a decision was obviously made on that date well around 22nd August 2013, and the award given for two years yet I didnt hear anything until the beginning of November 2013. Just wondered why that would be.Thank you.

Referral/re-referrals to start your assessment/reassessment process are generally sent to Medical Services (ATOS/Maximus) around two months before an assessment/reassessment date.

(ATOS) Maximus should then post the ESA50 to the claimant.

The time between a decision being made and the claimant receiving notification will vary dependent of the work load of that particular office.
