My sister in law is married to a guy for more than 8 years, he was working but had to give up to look after her because of her ill health, he is due to reapply for his visa again in June 2015. He has never taken any benefit in the UK. He looks after her as her carer but as she is not in receipt of DLA or PIP as yet he cannot apply for carers allowance. They are very worried that when he comes to renew his visa that there may be problems? the worry of it all is playing on their minds. My sister in law is concerned that as her husband cannot work as he is looking after her that Immigration etc may refuse him a visa renewal. They have 2 children together and adore each other, as you can imagine the worry is enormous. Advice has been that unless he engages a lawyer for about £5k he has no chance of having his visa renewed. Any help advice please. Thanks lots.

Hi bd,
I am afraid that we do not advise on anything pertaining to immigration :
You need to contact The CAB or the like !!
