Hi I am due for another assessment next week I am in the process of filling in a new esa50 as I had not received one before this assessment and the last one I filled in was about 14 months ago
My question is, I have had a diagnosis of a new illness and I have copies of a decline in my spirometry results should I forward them with my esa50 now or wait until I need a mandatory decision or appeal if it comes to that.
Many thanks in advance.

Hi mm,

There is no advantage whatsoever in holding any current evidence back, only to produce it later at The MR/Appeal stage.

The whole idea is to gain the correct award now, and not to have to enter The MR/Appeal stage. :)

I would therefore advise that you provide copies (keep originals) of any fresh evidence with The ESA50, drawing reference to it.

They cannot possibly take evidence into account that you don't provide at the time of the assessment.

You will be assessed on "how you are" at the time of the assessment.
