Is it possible to get 'copy' X-rays ? or printouts thereof ?
... in the BAW PIP Guide Jan 2015, p. 66 ...
"Medical evidence from health professionals other than your GP" ... it appears to suggest this is poss ?

How would one go about this ...say from an Orthopaedic Hospital ... and would there be any cost ? My X-rays of my knees and hips appear to be of someone deceased (or should be) ... and would assist in any Appeal, be it mandatory or otherwise ... as any one with an iota of professional commonsense would look at them and know immediately from the decimated skeletal state that 'that person' was in very serious trouble & pain at all times !

Many thanks,
DandyBoy

You can request a copy of your X-Rays from the hospital concerned - I paid £10 for a CD containing images of my X-Rays and MRIs.

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Hi DB,

I would advise that you also gain copy of the reports made as a result of any X-Rays, MRI's, etc.

These may be at the Hospital where the tests were carried out and/or in your G.P. records.

Hi momx,

We have been discussing this issue on your other topic : Here.

You would request any X-Ray images, MRI scan images or the like in much the same way as requesting your records from your G.P.

The difference regarding the X-Rays, etc, would be that you would request them from the Hospital in question.

It would also be important to obtain any reports written as a result of the X-Ray, etc.

Said reports may well be in your G.P. records, although the images would not be.

If you have problems gaining copies of anything from the Hospital, you should contact : PALS at the Hospital in question.
