Hi hc,

Welcome to Benefits and Work :)

You don't say whether the PIP Assessment is being carried out by ATOS or Capita.

If it is Capita, the vast majority of their PIP Assessments are carried out in the home.

ATOS are a lot more reluctant to carry out home assessments, mainly due to the extra incurred costs in doing so.

The majority of the feed back that we have had regarding PIP Home Assessments is positive, in that the assessors have been polite and professional.

What to expect at a PIP Assessment is covered from Page 64 onwards of our :

PIP Claims Guide. (2nd Link on page)

The following posts came up when I put "PIP Assessments" into our site Search Engine :

PIP Assessments Search Results.

I am sure that other members will provide feed back from their own personal experiences.

Best of luck, and please keep us updated.
