Esa and pip

Is it true that when pip look through the claimants form they look through there previous esa claim and sometimes make decisions that way

I have been awarded 2 years in support group I'm in the indefinate for dla I have been told that dla look at esa awards now to make new decisions on pip is this the case

We are aware that The DWP are using ESA Medical Reports as an aid to making a PIP Decision and vice-versa.

However, to do this, the ESA or PIP Medical Report being used would have to be fairly current, otherwise they would not hold as much credence.

The fact that ESA and PIP have different qualifying criteria with some similarities should also be taken int account.
