PIP form filling it in for someone else was created by Mariejoe
I am currently waiting for PIP forms to arrive to claim for my Autistic adult son, who's DLA claim will be coming to an end in May this year. I will have to complete the forms as he is unable to do so. My question is do I complete the form as if he is giving the information, for example, "I am not able to communicate", or would it be acceptable to complete it from my perspective by saying "he is not able to communicate". These forms are hard enough already and I do not want to get that part wrong. Thanks.

Hi Mariejoe,

Welcome to Benefits and Work On the assumption that you are also new to the site, this link should help you find your way around.

I don't think it really matters. The important thing is that you are consistent throughout and make it clear what you have done and why.

Don't forget to make full use of our PIP guide when you are filling out the forms.
