Happy new year to all mods and members let's hope it won't be a bad one!!

I was transferred from IB to ESA in 2013
The ESA85A was dated 07/04/13
The LT54 was dated 07/04/13
DWP letter was dated 03/05/13 stating ESA would start from 25/05/13

My prognosis was for 2 years, so when could I expect to receive another ESA50 is it 2 years from the 7th of April or 3rd of May or the 25th of May.

Should I still expect to receive the ESA50 around 2 months prior to one of the above dates.

Are the reassessments still being deferred for 2 years, my atos office would be Birmingham
Do you think it would be wise for me to start collecting medical evidence now as it takes about 2 months for me to get reports etc from the hospitals I attend. Thank you for any advice.

Hi cb,

Happy New Year,

One would "normally" expect to receive a new ESA50 some two months before the end of a prognosis period, which in your case would be circa 25/03/15. (two months before the end of a 2 year period from 25/05/13)

However, even disregarding the current situation with deferrals, there is no hard and fast rule with this date.

e.g. I am aware of claimants from the past with a two year prognosis who have received a new ESA50 on the 2nd anniversary of the date that they were last referred/re-referred to ATOS for their previous assessment/reassessment.

As always, our best advice is to be as prepared as much as you can be.

Have a look at this other post from today :

There is a new ESA50 due out in the next few months, but the assessment criteria remain the same, so you should be able to use the currently available form without problem.
