Hi,
Welcome to Benefits and Work
If your forum name is also your real name, you may wish to change it to maintain some anonymity.
This can be done quite easily by following the instructions on this FAQ :
My full name is showing, how can I stop it?
I am assuming that the PIP Consultation is with ATOS at one of their Edinburgh PIP Assessment Centres :
www.atoshealthcare.com/pip/consultation_locations/scotland
See also : www.atoshealthcare.com/pip/before_your_consultation
Feedback from members regarding PIP assessments is far more positive than with ESA Assessments.
You should take into account that how you manage to get to and from the assessment may be taken into account as part of the actual assessment.
You may be observed on approaching, whilst inside, and on leaving the building.
If you have a look at Page 64 onwards of our : PIP Claims Guide, (2nd Link on page) it goes through what to expect at your PIP F2F.
Other information that may be helpful on the same page is the :
"PIP assessment guide
145 page guidance document for health professionals carrying out PIP medicals."
&
The : "PIPAT Guidance for Assessment Providers
103 page guide for Atos and Capita to using PIPAT assessment software."
These two guides are under the 4th from bottom and 2nd from bottom links respectively.
Try not too worry, hopefully all will go well !!
Please return after the assessment to provide an update of how it went, and please reply to this topic if you have any further queries.
Good Luck !!!
