I assume,from what you say, that you were placed in the Work Related Activity Group rather than the Support Group?
Do you mean that you are receiving contributory ESA and payments are due to stop under the time-limiting rules? Or were you told that you would be reassessed in 12 months?
If the former, your payments will stop - unless you qualify income-related ESA. If you think this might be the case (live alone or with someone who does not work many hours, no other income, savings/assets less than£6000) you need to contact DWP for an ESA3 form for financial assessment.
12 Month Limit for ESA(CB)
If you are not entitled to income-related ESA, payment would only restarted if you qualify for the Support Group at any future reassessment. You will not necessarily be reassessed just because payment is due to end. The only way to find out when to expect reassessment is to contact DWP and ask. Even then,many reassessments have been suspended due to backlog of work so even this is not foolproof! If your condition has worsened since the last decision, such that you think you might now qualify for the Support Group, you can contact DWP yourself and ask to be reassessed. This does carry some risk as they are entitled to find you 'Fit for Work' if they believe you don't meet the ESA descriptors.
