Recording F2F PIP? was created by Bamboozal
Hi I have just sent off my husbands PIP form and received a text from DWP
acknowledging receipt.
On the form I requested a home assessment if called for one but wondered
can a request for the F2F to be recorded be made like with ESA?

Regards
Bam

Hi B,

You have nothing to lose by making such a request.

I am aware that ATOS did state that they offered recording facilities for ESA Home Assessments, just as they did for assessments carried out at one of their centres.

If they refuse, you can offer to make your own recording. They will only allow dual tape or CD recordings where you can offer the assessor a copy of the recording at the end of the assessment.

You would still need the assessor's consent to do this.

Of course, another option would be to covertly record it without the assessor knowing.

You should be aware that if you do decide to covertly record it, and the assessor becomes aware of this, that they can stop the assessment.
