Does anyone have the rules for selling a house and having the equity disregarded whilst looking for another while on income support, dla and carers allowance? I get a diferrent answer every time I phone income support, and getting really stressed and confused, thanks if anyone can help

My full name is showing, how can I stop it? Any equity from the sale should be disregarded for six months, this period can be extended if you can show that you are having problems finding a replacement home, however, the extension is at the discretion of the DWP.
Obviously you need to keep the DWP informed of what you are doing.
