PIP (about my claim)

Hi all,

Just wondering if anybody could help me please. I have sent my renewal form off and have sent prescription list off and have been waiting months. Then today I receive a letter stating

"We've now got the information and reports we need about our condition and how this affects you for your claim to PIP"

"We're sorry it's taken longer than expected to give you a decision on your claim but we'll contact you as soon as we've made a decision"

Does this mean I may not have to go for a medical please?. This waiting game is awful and causing me so much worry knowing I have to go for the dreaded medical. Any help on this much appreciated.

We don't have much experience with PIP yet, as it is so new. I agree, it does sound as if you will not be called for a face2face assessment but I'm afraid I wouldn't want to make any promises!

No I understand that and thank you for your warm welcome and commenting on my topic issue. So glad to have found this site I followed each step filling the form out on here so fingers crossed it will all be fine. The worry this causes to a lot of people is awful as if we don't suffer enough in life now having to play the waiting game yet again.
